THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED!
Yes, Folks! We’ve had to postpone this event as we weren’t able to confirm everything with Carnival in the middle of planning. BUT not to worry, it will take place in November, which will be after all the holidays and big events…stay tuned for more on when you can register.
Thank you for your patience and support!
Have you been suffering with Anxiety attacks lately? Panic Attacks? Or maybe you feel uncharacteristically depressed…moody? OR perhaps you experienced a trauma recently and you find that it’s affecting your sleep and your eating? Hey! If this sounds like you? If perhaps your doctor even diagnosed you with any of this, then THIS weekend is for YOU!
OR maybe it’s not for personal reasons…
Explore the real issues around mental health: Social, Economic, and Cultural Impacts. What is Stigma & Shame, Neuroplasticity & Mental Health and Hope. Besides helping you personally, individuals involved with Mental Health – healthcare workers, doctors, therapists, personal trainers, yoga teachers…anyone…this event is also a Sensitivity Training where you will learn the Theoretical and Practical Application of Yoga and other tools to treat Depression, Anxiety, Mood Disorders and Trauma. You will learn alternative ways to help your clients.
THE SANGHA TRINIDAD is honoured to present and work with the BLU MATTER PROJECT and it’s HEAL FORUM!
Blu Matter Project is a Canadian-based, action-oriented, not-for-profit organization focused on connecting people who have lived with the experience of Mental Health Issues to the practice of Mindfulness, Yoga and the Neuroscientific Study of Mental Health. Their mission is to inspire not only increased awareness around this issue while mitigating the stigma and shame associated with it, but most importantly they want to create the possibility of hope. Hope that it is in fact possible, by using the tools that the study of Neuroscience and the Neurobiology of Mindfulness can provide to each person willing to try something new, to find a sense of peace inside of the struggle of Depression, Anxiety & Mood Disorders. They have expanded their forum nationally within Canada and now, we, The Sangha Trinidad are excited to help them expand internationally, with Trinidad and Tobago being their first stop! Linda Malone is the founder of BLU MATTER PROJECT. She created this organization after her own brother took his life and after she began to recognize how much it affected her.
