PAPA BOIS CONSERVATION is an advocate for the environment in Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean. Film and papa boisphotography are used to bring awareness and education to the public.

The Papa Bois’s Facebook page is an interactive environmental forum on which all are invited to discuss environmental issues. A number of environmental projects have been identified, including, but not limited to, a Lionfish education and eradication project, turtle protection, UNESCO World Heritage Site designation for Trinidad & Tobago’s turtle nesting beaches, an awareness drive to educate about the dangers of plastic pollution named “A Plastic Free Caribbean Sea”.

The name is inspired by Papa Bois, a figure in local folklore. He is the protector of the forest and its inhabitants. He is a benign figure, except when harm is done to that which is in his care.
